In girum is a versatile accessory, usable as a small table, bedside table or side table, for the living area or the sleeping area. The design originates as a testimony of the investigation carried out by the Milanese duo Finemateria around the bed, understood as a political and artistic platform, an extension of the body and a performative space. This research, narrated in the second issue of the magazine In Itinere, published by Bolzan, took shape in the installation “Bedtime Stories. In girum imus nocte”, of which the small table retains the title engraved, translating the conceptual reflection into an object for everyday use.
For In girum, Finemateria relied on craftsmen from Vicenza, internationally recognized for clay molding and hand finishing, a body of artisanal knowledge that gives each piece uniqueness and cultural depth.
